Wrote my first novel called The Magic Life - A Novel Philsophy. May have been the first full novel ever published on the Internet. (1995) Created and manage three Web Domains: 411web.com, starry.com, TheMagicLife.com. Then THE MAGIC LIFE made it into hard back in 1999 and has sold many thousands of copies since. Currently working on two other novels and promoting THE MAGIC LIFE.

ENTREPRENEUR - MARKETING CONSULTANT.

MVP² - Motivational Visual Performance Programs. Houston, Texas

Consulted, created and designed marketing, advertising materials and on-screen computerized sales presentations. Created a motivational product called "MotivAids" sales incentive games. Responsible for $480,000 media buy. Designed and purchased radio, billboards, newspaper, magazines and yellow page campaigns. Computerized a classified advertising tracking system.Clients include: Elizabeth Arden Corp, The Galindo Group, The Houston Apartment Association.

CEO/CO-FOUNDER.

IQ Technologies, Inc. Houston, Texas

Coauthored business plan, raised over $250,000 to purchase the assets of a failing software publisher. Negotiated a purchase to $130,000 for products IRS valued at $600,000. Raised $100,000 start-up capital. Negotiated contracts with vendors to assist in raising operating capital. Complete start-up of company to 17 employees. Hired personnel, located office space, created initial marketing materials, re-designed product packaging, implemented accounting systems, and established corporate identity. (see picture)

MARKETING CONSULTANT.

Ace Starry & Associates. Austin, Texas

Conceived a marketing and motivation consulting business to facilitate a return to graduate school. Consulted trade associations across the nation on advertising, sales motivation, marketing and management. Authored business plans, marketing collateral, direct mail pieces, established leads and performed seminars at various conferences and trade shows across the nation.

NATIONAL DIRECTOR OF MARKETING.

Capstone Asset Management. Austin, Texas

Pioneered the "PEAK PERFORMANCE PROGRAM", a marketing program which hiked company wide revenues by 80K per month. Set goals with Regional Vice Presidents and monitored progress for 20,000 units over five regions. Worked with corporate training department to upgrade sales training. Worked directly with 4 supervisors to create property management systems. Established computer data-base system for tracking marketing and leasing efforts. System was adopted by entire company. Developed advertising and public relations campaign as company restructured.

SALES TRAINER \ MARKETING SUPERVISOR

Hall Management Corporation. Houston, Texas

Troubleshooter for leasing efforts doing on-site training at individual properties, presented weekly training seminars, screened and hired agents. Created and implemented a sales training program that increased average closing ratios by 25%. Oversaw leasing and marketing functions on 24 properties in the greater Houston area, analyzed weaknesses and presented solutions, developed marketing and advertising campaigns.

Prior to 1984 - Self-employed as a professional magician. Worked tradeshows, nightclubs and amusement parks. (Yes, I can saw a woman in two.)
