Orange Sound - A free online novel sneek peak
Orange Sound-- by C. G. Black. The first ten chapters are available. A strange but beautiful collision of words; a contradiction of the senses and also the direct translation into English from an obscure Burmese dialect of the name of a hallucinogenic drug with some extraordinary properties. Orange Sound may also be the unseen hand behind some extraordinary events taking place in the Northumbrian village of Wet Rain Hill; a place with a very interesting past stretching far back into prehistory. Samuel Brock, weekend visitor to the village and professor of archaeology, is intrigued by what he has discovered and believes his research is leading somewhere significant.

The Magic Life - A Novel Philosophy-- by Ace Starry (me) contains nine chapters (almost half the book) of this modern day fable. The book was a finalist in the Hemingway first novel competition and was recently purchased by Fuso publishing to be printed in Japanese. James Carpenter, is living his life trapped in a strait-jacket. An accountant by profession, he has done well by it. However, like many, he is learning the hard way that the security of having all the toys doesn't necessarily bring happiness. James is living in a mediocre state of discontent, but that is about to change. After a disturbing nightmare, he meets a mysterious magical mentor named, "Maximillion Vi." Max uses his power of illusion to create a world in which James will either learn to overcome his nightmare or die.

Looking for the Summer-- by Robert W. Norris is a remarkable adventure story of a man, about to lose his youth, and find his true self in ancient lands. David Thompson is a former Vietnam War conscientious objector living in Paris, continually searching for the happiness he could not find in the U.S. On a quest to find himself, he befriends an Iranian and an Afghan and is invited to return with them to their countries. His quest slowly becomes a descent into his own private hell as the journey from Europe to the East becomes a physical manifestation of his struggle to achieve reconciliation with his own conscience.

Toraware-- by Robert W. Norris. Three people about to become enmeshed in a relationship that will change each of their lives forever. Toraware is a special novel that takes a penetrating look at the obsessions, suspense, grief, misunderstandings, and joys of people from very different cultures and backgrounds who are brought together by fate to find the separate life paths they must follow.

Storm Tide - A Free Novel Online
Storm Tide-- a novel by Philip Turner begins with a couple of introductory pages of history from the time of the Spanish Armada [1588 and all that] onwards, then gets on with a robbery in modern times [well, 1984 - when the book was written]. The story is all about the interactions between two sets of people, living out of the main stream of life; Jeremy Haig and his friends and the Fantony brothers (the guys who carried out the robbery.)

The Magic Life - A Novel Philosophy-- A motivational novel about living life to your own expectations, by Ace Starry. Finalist in the 1998 Hemingway First Novel Competition.

The book reveals the plot (both mystery and love story) while teaching a philosophy of life to the readers much like The Way of the Peaceful Warrior or The Celestine Prophecy. It also reveals many other profound secrets to help us discover who we are, what we are capable of and how to live life to the fullest. It is almost spiritual in nature and borders on the metaphysical at times, teaching a philosophy rooted in Eastern religion, but not blatantly religious. This book deals strongly with the power of coincidence. If you believe there is a reason for life, you should read this book. It is about how "living life" is the answer to the question of life. It is about discovering not just who we are and what we are capable of, but most importantly, why we are? For More Info and To Order
