The Cloth on a Safety Pin

Og Mandino's book The Greatest Secret In The World has a character named The Rag Picker. His character used a piece of cloth as a metaphor for the meaning of life. In response to Mandino's book I actually took a piece of cloth and attached it to a chain around my neck, fashioned in the same manner as worn by Max Vi in my book. It was amazing to me what intrigue this strange cloth talisman sparked from spectators. The object becomes something very interesting as the story progresses. I didn't really know that it would have a special part in the story when I put it into the discription of the magician, I was just writing a discription of myself.
