What you’ll do:

Starry is seeking a Director or Business to Business (B2B) Marketing to develop and execute a B2B marketing strategy for increasing Starry’s brand awareness among decision makers in the real estate industry, including property groups, property managers, home-owners associations, condominium boards, and national/regional  industry associations, among others, as well as driving leads into the top of our Sales process.  The Sales team will close those leads securing rooftop access for Starry that allows us to provide services to residents of the building or complex. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this Director (along with direct reports) will be responsible for developing the strategy as well as the tactical implementation of that strategy.  The KPIs for this role include brand awareness and perception of Starry among industry decision makers and leads generated for the top of the Sales funnel.

  • Create and drive Starry B2B marketing strategies from concept to execution, in collaboration with CMO and cross functional leadership 
  • Own channel mix to drive the best leads possible and lowest possible CPL
  • Collaborate (and work closely with) Sales Directors in each market (and national leads) to make sure each market’s lead generation needs are being met 
  • Identify key regional and national conferences and events that Starry should attend as well as owning how we attend those events to drive maximum ROI
  • Create and execute lead nurturing strategies to push Leads through the end-to-end sales process
  • Be single point of contact for Starry sales organization on matters related to B2B marketing
  • Responsible for hiring, training & leading marketing professionals to drive and execute Starry’s B2B marketing strategy 
  • Directly impact and enhance operational propensity to develop and achieve business objectives, KPIs, and goals through marketing strategy and leadership.
  • Set and maintain a high standard of analytic rigor in constructing robust business intelligence insights to drive and support bodies of work, facilitate dialogue and inform strategy.
  • Deliver deep insight on marketing performance and ROI across the organization to influence new market strategies
  • Leveraging B2B consumer insights knowledge and apply expertise to marketing plans
  • Own, plan, delegate, execute and synthesize bodies of strategy work related to operational marketing support; maintaining a solid understanding of the “Big Picture” while digging deep into the details of individual bodies of work/initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree required
  • 10+ years relative experience 
  • Experience leading, mentoring and developing a large marketing team
  • Experience with data analytics and how to effectively apply learning to improve performance
  • Deep understanding of web-based data and metrics with a track record of distilling actionable insights from data
  • Ability to communicate effectively to business stakeholders, team and partners 
  • Ability to influence and manage multiple teams with excitement to reach milestones
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time to various markets
