Who we're looking for:

Starry is looking for an experienced Dispatcher to join the Field Experts team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for managing all aspects of the customer installations and service repair calendar.

This position is full-time and work from home. You must be based in one of the following states: Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, or Washington DC.

What you'll do:

  • Monitor technician progress throughout the day and reassign work if needed to ensure appointments remain on schedule.  
  • Proactively reach out to both technicians and customers when scheduling conflicts arise.  
  • Continuously communicate appointment updates to customers in real time through email and phone.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all Starry technicians and contractors when scheduling challenges arise or follow up appointments are required.
  • Handle scheduling offline customers and service visits, prioritizing customer needs alongside technician workload.  
  • Communicate urgently to market leadership when staffing needs are not sufficient to cover pending escalations in order to find an effective resolution.
  • Ensure technicians have all required appointment information, including on-site contact information, required equipment, or access requirements.
  • Work to arrange site or unit access by contacting customers, property managers, or various required parties as necessary.
  • Assist in the scheduling and planning of technician calendars, skills, working territories and job routes as directed by the Workforce Planner across multiple markets.
  • Troubleshoot availability issues and handle rescheduling requests for customer care, customers or Starry field representatives in order to ensure all available appointment times are able to be offered.

Experience required:

  • 2+ years prior experience working as a dispatcher managing a field team, an operations coordinator, or in customer service
  • Experience in a fast growth, high volume, startup environment
  • Ability to work independently and proactively

Pay Range: $22.00-28.00 Hourly (final compensation based on skills and experience)
