Starry Hosts Congratulatory Dinner for Spring Creek Towers Scholarship Fund Recipients

Starry hosted a congratulatory dinner with our community partner, Spring Creek Towers, to honor the recipients of the 2022 Spring Creek Towers Academic Scholarship Award. Each year, the Spring Creek Community Corporation provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are high-achieving and demonstrate a history of volunteer service and civic responsibility within the community and at school.

Eleven college-bound students,  joined by their families, celebrated their academic achievements as they each received awards ranging from $4,000 to $16,000. The scholarships will help pay for tuition, books and other financial obligations for up to four years. And, to make sure these students are equipped with the tools they need to succeed, Starry and Microsoft gifted each of them with a Microsoft Surface Go device to use during their college journey.

Since June 2022, Starry has been providing affordable, high-speed internet access to the residents of Spring Creek Towers. All residents are eligible to receive Starry Internet for free through the FCC’s Affordable Connectivity Program.
